Frontiers of Flight Museum, 09 April 06Dallas
The Wings of Freedom, Display of WWII Aircraft including the Boeing B-17 Flying Fortress "Nine-O-Nine". The Consolidated B-24 Liberator, "Witchcraft". And the North American B-25 Mitchell, "Tondelayo". These were on display here thru April 11, 06, outside of the Museum on the tarmac.
The B-17 was completed and released to the Air Force on April 7, 1945, so she didn't see any WWII combat, but she served her country in a rescue capacity.
Along with pictures of the 'Flying' display of these 3 fine old Warbirds, I have pictures here some of the planes on static display inside of the museum. This museum is definitely a worthwhile look-see for airplane buffs.
